In the heart of Melbourne lies two of the most mind-bending and story-driven escape rooms around. Put your problem solving and tech-wiz skills to the test to bring a state-of-the-art AI system back online in Shutdown or escape the creaky lair of The Old Haunt where a ghostly presence resides, promising eternal life while hiding chilling tales.
1. Shutdown
Players: 2-6 | Age: 15+ (Adult Themes) | Difficulty: Medium
When IRIS, a world-first artificial intelligence system is compromised by an ex-Exodyne employee, you and your team must reboot the state-of-the-art system, crucial for the survival of the company. Using codes, clues, and sleight of hand you’ll need to hack into IRIS’s mainframe and reconnect the power before all systems are lost. But keep your wits about you, as the AI may not be all what it seems.
2. The Old Haunt
Players: 2-6 Age: 15+ (Adult Themes) | Difficulty: Easy
From a brisk countryside walk to suddenly seeking refuge from a storm, you find yourselves in the unfortunate confines of an abandoned, haunted mansion. With the presence of a ghostly spirit following your every move, you’ll need to use deductive reasoning, decipher dates, and search throughout the haunt for a way out. You may just survive, but not before unraveling the long and mysterious tale of this mansion and its ghostly dwellers.

How long do the activities take?
All of our activities take different amounts of time depending on the size of the group. However our booking system will show you the length of your booking as you go along.
Do I have to wear bowling shoes?
We encourage guests to wear our bowling shoes. If you prefer to wear your own shoes deemed safe and appropriate. (Closed toe and flat soled e.g. trainers, sneakers, boat shoe)
Can I just turn up?
You can, but fun stuff sells out fast and during peak times we can have a limited number of walk-ins available. We advise booking in advance. You can book here.

Do I need to bring my ID?02
Can I bring the kids?Under 18’s are permitted at Strike Melbourne Central until 8pm, 7 days a week. Prior to this time, we request that pre-teens and younger children are accompanied by a responsible adult. Check out our House Rules for more info.
